PENNY DEWOEHREL
President and Founder

Penny Dewoehrel is the president and founder of All American Ponies, Incorporated, aka AAPI.  With her lifelong experience with horses, Penny is able to use her knowledge to encourage even the most timid of horses and people.  Since it's official 501(c)3 recognition in 1991, through AAPI, Penny has reformed many horses, both physically and mentally, and placed them in loving homes.  She has also enabled adults and children alike to transform from horse-shy land-dwellers to confident, skilled riders and all-around saavy horse-handlers.

Penny's knack of working with strenghths and weaknesses, fears and comfort of both horses and people ultimately brings out the best of each in ways that are pleasantly unexpected.  We continue to see transformations in riders and horses that are simply amazing, doing things well and safely in ways that were never anticipated by others.

With a focus on various foundations of riding and knowledge of horse psychology, Penny is instrumental in bringing horses and people together.  The foundations Penny teaches also allow individuals the opportunity to pursue the horse experience in any way they desire, but most importantly develop a relationship with the horse.

As the cornerstone of this non-profit organization, Penny does all of this simply out of passion.  Like all volunteers at AAPI, she does not receive a salary of any kind.  All money and other donations received by All American Ponies, Incorporated go directly to the care, rescue, and rehabilitation of horses.
